European training for creative producers

We’re delighted to announce a unique and exciting opportunity for 5 new Creative Producers currently working in the UK to attend a series of 4 International Script Development Labs over the coming year. We’ve partnered with the International Film Festivals in Sarajevo, Istanbul and Tel Aviv, along with the British Council here in the UK, to run 4 Script Development and Editing Labs, one in each of the partner territories. Each partner (UK, Israel, Turkey, Bosnia & Herzegovina) is now recruiting just 5 participants who will be invited to attend all four workshops.

Synecdoche, New York starts off as the seemingly straightforward story of a theatre director facing a troubled domestic and creative life, but it ends….somewhere else entirely, to say the least. Trevor Johnston traces the steps on a highly individual, utterly Kaufmanesque journey, which, he’s almost surprised to discover, stands as its writer’s most nakedly emotional work to date.
